Father Beiting died at the age of 88 on the morning of august 9,2012 in Ashland, Kentucky. Over 65 years earlier, in 1946,he fell in love with Appalachia while spending a summer mission with a team of others seminars in eastern Kentucky. The seminarians had spent the summer preaching on roadsides, in front of courthouses and parking lots.
